[Peace is a funny thing. It's been teased and denied for so long that now that it's happening, it's almost weird. He'd missed most of the drama with the princess and her traitorous Terran Knight -- not that he's fully convinced of it, but if it gains them this peace, then he won't question it -- but he had been returned to his kin as Earth's first peace offering.]

[Kuroo hadn't been too happy about that, hadn't even had the time to say good bye to Tsukki after being whisked away by a couple of generals and then thrown into political chaos. But he had endured it, because he knew that eventually, the princess would get to the small issue of Kuroo's kataphrakt and how he intends to spend his time on Earth. He could be a diplomat, he'd offered, or teach his fellow Versians about Terrans, since he's learned a lot. Anything, he had added meaningfully, if he allowed him to keep his landing castle close to Earth if not entirely on its soil.]

[He'd gotten some leeway in the end, after weeks of endless talks, so here he is now striding into the hanger where they kept his mech, in full Count regalia. Oddly enough, he only has Terran escorts with him, and they back away well enough when he reaches his destination.

Tsukki? Oiii, I'm looking for your mechanic, Tsukishima Kei. [first he calls out, and then just outright asks someone to find Tsukki for him]

You captured my heart from the start. [pats his chest over where his heart should be as if to demonstrate.] But I understand what you mean. We'll have our room to be normal here, too, don't worry. Generally, what goes on in our landing castles are none of other people's business.

[hellacene]

[punches the hand over his heart.] You're disgustingly sappy.

[they arrive in good time within the castle. he lets yamamoto know he'd like to watch movies with everyone. for the most part he brought a ton of movies with him with monsters and animals, and a couple of popular horror films. yamamoto tells him he'll have the perfect setup ready and will tell the kitchen to make a ton of popcorn and thanks tsukki profusely for bringing with him stuff from earth.]

Movies sort of .... slowed down in terms of production and release during the war, and a lot of them of course are full of propaganda. [he makes a face.] But there are nice ones. It's just a matter of keeping an eye on them around the net.

I think I'll leave that to you. When I tried to watch some on my own, I ended up with some truly horrific stuff. [Yamamoto's setup apparently involves setting up a screen in the mess hall, one of those very large, wide ones like you can find in the control room. It's mostly just glass, so it's not too heavy, but Kuroo still wonders where Yamamoto stole that from.]

[The benches and chairs are bolted down, but a few of them have been moved to clear and border a space in the middle for people to sit down. Some people have brought pillows and blankets. You can tell some people have been watching sitcoms from the 80s by their general expectation of what a movie night should be.]

[he leaves kuroo for a bit to go through his stuff and give him a pile of videos. they choose at random, mostly judging by which cover looks nice, and they end up loading little shop of horrors.

there's enough popcorn to go around and tsukki himself has brought the blankets and pillows from his nest in the observatory deck down to their place. as the scene opens, someone asks tsukki if there're plants similar to the one in the small pot seymour is holding, and he gives a smile and says,] There are, but hopefully nothing like that.

[Kuroo has assigned himself to be Tsukki's personal couch, and will not be deterred. He does laugh at the movie, though.]

Why are they all singing?

[hellacene]

Because it's a musical, and whenever people feel emotional in musicals, they sing.

[he stuffs pillows around him and hopes to move kuroo away so he doesn't lean his entire weight on him. in exasperation, he tells him,] Kuroo, at least get your own spot. [while a few people look over and laugh.]

[captaincatblock]

That sounds like an odd way to live. [No, he wraps his arms around Tsukki's waist and pulls him back to his chest. His legs end up on either side of Tsukki's legs.] No, I want to sit like this.

[hellacene]

Your legs will ache after.

[fine, be that way. he shifts all the pillows again and puts on on his lap while pulling a blanket over him.

the crowd is generally amazed about audrey and are looking at their potted plants in worry. someone is being angry at the dentist and at seymour.]

I've never actually watched this! But i googled.

[He doesn't care, just spends the entire time hanging on to Tsukki. He'll nuzzle at his neck from time to time and make commentary about the movie ("Why do people think this thing is surviving on water and sunlight?"). When it's revealed that the plant is an alien, someone complains that that's not how aliens look like.]

[tsukki just laughs at the comments as they come, explains parts of the movie to kuroo and pushes him should his hold get too constricting for him. he spends a lot more time talking to him than actually watching, or eating the snacks with him more than anything else.]

[captaincatblock]

[It's nice and domestic in a very strange social way, so Kuroo is actually enjoying himself. Someone pulls out a bunch of rootbeer from their stores -- fizzy water, they call it -- and distributes it along.]

Terrans are pretty imaginative. I don't know how you guys do it.

[hellacene]

It helps that we're not always at war. [he's pleasantly surprised at the rootbeer, and takes one for both of them that has ice cream in it.] And even if we are, well, there are some war films that are okay.

It also helps that we've got a better sense of humor overall, though I'm not exactly the best representative for that.

[captaincatblock]

[Kuroo is just gonna eat from Tsukki, because he doesnt really want to let go.] Versians have a sense of humour! We're just very... military. Well, okey, so maybe we don't.

[hellacene]

Not all of them are like you.

[he attempts to wriggle out of his hold and not spill the ice cream. in exasperation, he tells him,] Kuroo Tetsurou. Things will be a lot easier for both of us if you weren't such a pain in the ass.

[captaincatblock]

Only in your ass. [wink, but he does loosen his grip on Tsukki's waist. He's not moving away, though.]

[hellacene]

There are children present, Tetsurou.

[they eventually finish the movie, to a mixed reaction with the audience. not a lot of people know what to think about a singing plant that eats people from outer space. lev gets next pick for the videos, however, and when he sees what lev has in his hands tsukki groans.]

Lord of the Rings. We're gonna be here for a while.

[captaincatblock]

I don't think I'll want to meet aliens like that in space. But I wouldn't be surprised if they exist. [The ancients who created the Aldnoah did, after all.]

[He has no idea what Lord of the Rings is.] Is that very long? My butt is starting to hurt.

[hellacene]

There's three movies in total, about three to four hours long each. If they're going to watch all of them, you'd better get comfortable. [setting the pillows aside and on his lap so kuroo can move over.] They're quite popular back home.

[captaincatblock]

That's very long. [He looks amazed. But he does scoot over, and... stretches out so his head can be on Tsukki's lap. What a big baby.]

[hellacene]

[it's a sweet gesture, and he doesn't mind it at the least, only shifts the pillow underneath his head so that he'd be more comfortable, his hand resting over his head and the other around his chest. people did notice, however, and in the end they all hoot and comment in hushed whispers about how cute tsukki was with him and how spoiled their count was, to which tsukki just replies with an indignant,] I'm putting him for auction, actually. Someone take this cat away from me.

[He's all yours though, Tsukki! is what they say. Kuroo laces his fingers with Tsukki's hand by his chest, and brings it to his lips to kiss. He raises his eyebrows at the attention, though.] Do you want to run laps instead of watch this movie that my dear Tsukki has kindly brought for you guys?

[hellacene]

[there's a lot of protest, while tsukki shakes his head at him at 'dear tsukki'.] You are absolutely ridiculous.

[there's a lot of confusion in the movie as well when someone pipes up that they recognize the place gandalf and the hobbit were in, and what are hobbits in general, and kenma explaining what a wizard was. but the one thing that most of them agreed on was - "there's so much green," says yamamoto in awe.]

Ridiculously good-looking? Kind and generous? [But the guys do leave them alone to focus on the movie, and even Kuroo is a bit engaged with it trying to piece things together. He shifts so that he's on his back and not on his side, so he can peer up at Tsukki.]

Where is this actually on Earth?

[hellacene]

Do you mean this story? Or where they set it? [he adjusts his legs underneath him so he doesn't get cramps, a hand settling around the side of his neck as he turns, fingers brushing against his jaw like he really were an oversized cat on his lap.] Middle earth obviously doesn't exist and is just a story made up by someone, but they shot this movie in New Zealand. I'm told there was more sheep than people in there .... and yes, it's really green in that country. Nothing but miles and miles of land and the sea.

[someone brings up a map in their tablet of new zealand to look at pictures of the country, and then questions are asked to see if someone's been in that area ("oh, it's near australia!") since the count was in the neighbouring country. another person asks if horseback riding is as comfortable as these people make it look, because having a living thing between your legs seems kind of difficult, especially when you can't just control it like you would a ship.]

So this isn't a historical movie? I was just about to ask if you were descended from these elves, since you're so pretty. [Kekeke. He does kiss Tsukki's fingers when they pass near his lips, though.]

A living thing between your legs is quite natural, as well. [Is what Kuroo mutters only for Tsukki's hearing, smirking at his own awful innuendo.]
