[Peace is a funny thing. It's been teased and denied for so long that now that it's happening, it's almost weird. He'd missed most of the drama with the princess and her traitorous Terran Knight -- not that he's fully convinced of it, but if it gains them this peace, then he won't question it -- but he had been returned to his kin as Earth's first peace offering.]

[Kuroo hadn't been too happy about that, hadn't even had the time to say good bye to Tsukki after being whisked away by a couple of generals and then thrown into political chaos. But he had endured it, because he knew that eventually, the princess would get to the small issue of Kuroo's kataphrakt and how he intends to spend his time on Earth. He could be a diplomat, he'd offered, or teach his fellow Versians about Terrans, since he's learned a lot. Anything, he had added meaningfully, if he allowed him to keep his landing castle close to Earth if not entirely on its soil.]

[He'd gotten some leeway in the end, after weeks of endless talks, so here he is now striding into the hanger where they kept his mech, in full Count regalia. Oddly enough, he only has Terran escorts with him, and they back away well enough when he reaches his destination.

Tsukki? Oiii, I'm looking for your mechanic, Tsukishima Kei. [first he calls out, and then just outright asks someone to find Tsukki for him]

[It's nice and domestic in a very strange social way, so Kuroo is actually enjoying himself. Someone pulls out a bunch of rootbeer from their stores -- fizzy water, they call it -- and distributes it along.]

Terrans are pretty imaginative. I don't know how you guys do it.

[hellacene]

It helps that we're not always at war. [he's pleasantly surprised at the rootbeer, and takes one for both of them that has ice cream in it.] And even if we are, well, there are some war films that are okay.

It also helps that we've got a better sense of humor overall, though I'm not exactly the best representative for that.

[captaincatblock]

[Kuroo is just gonna eat from Tsukki, because he doesnt really want to let go.] Versians have a sense of humour! We're just very... military. Well, okey, so maybe we don't.

[hellacene]

Not all of them are like you.

[he attempts to wriggle out of his hold and not spill the ice cream. in exasperation, he tells him,] Kuroo Tetsurou. Things will be a lot easier for both of us if you weren't such a pain in the ass.

[captaincatblock]

Only in your ass. [wink, but he does loosen his grip on Tsukki's waist. He's not moving away, though.]

[hellacene]

There are children present, Tetsurou.

[they eventually finish the movie, to a mixed reaction with the audience. not a lot of people know what to think about a singing plant that eats people from outer space. lev gets next pick for the videos, however, and when he sees what lev has in his hands tsukki groans.]

Lord of the Rings. We're gonna be here for a while.

I don't think I'll want to meet aliens like that in space. But I wouldn't be surprised if they exist. [The ancients who created the Aldnoah did, after all.]

[He has no idea what Lord of the Rings is.] Is that very long? My butt is starting to hurt.

There's three movies in total, about three to four hours long each. If they're going to watch all of them, you'd better get comfortable. [setting the pillows aside and on his lap so kuroo can move over.] They're quite popular back home.

[captaincatblock]

That's very long. [He looks amazed. But he does scoot over, and... stretches out so his head can be on Tsukki's lap. What a big baby.]

[hellacene]

[it's a sweet gesture, and he doesn't mind it at the least, only shifts the pillow underneath his head so that he'd be more comfortable, his hand resting over his head and the other around his chest. people did notice, however, and in the end they all hoot and comment in hushed whispers about how cute tsukki was with him and how spoiled their count was, to which tsukki just replies with an indignant,] I'm putting him for auction, actually. Someone take this cat away from me.

[He's all yours though, Tsukki! is what they say. Kuroo laces his fingers with Tsukki's hand by his chest, and brings it to his lips to kiss. He raises his eyebrows at the attention, though.] Do you want to run laps instead of watch this movie that my dear Tsukki has kindly brought for you guys?

[there's a lot of protest, while tsukki shakes his head at him at 'dear tsukki'.] You are absolutely ridiculous.

[there's a lot of confusion in the movie as well when someone pipes up that they recognize the place gandalf and the hobbit were in, and what are hobbits in general, and kenma explaining what a wizard was. but the one thing that most of them agreed on was - "there's so much green," says yamamoto in awe.]

[captaincatblock]

Ridiculously good-looking? Kind and generous? [But the guys do leave them alone to focus on the movie, and even Kuroo is a bit engaged with it trying to piece things together. He shifts so that he's on his back and not on his side, so he can peer up at Tsukki.]

Where is this actually on Earth?

[hellacene]

Do you mean this story? Or where they set it? [he adjusts his legs underneath him so he doesn't get cramps, a hand settling around the side of his neck as he turns, fingers brushing against his jaw like he really were an oversized cat on his lap.] Middle earth obviously doesn't exist and is just a story made up by someone, but they shot this movie in New Zealand. I'm told there was more sheep than people in there .... and yes, it's really green in that country. Nothing but miles and miles of land and the sea.

[someone brings up a map in their tablet of new zealand to look at pictures of the country, and then questions are asked to see if someone's been in that area ("oh, it's near australia!") since the count was in the neighbouring country. another person asks if horseback riding is as comfortable as these people make it look, because having a living thing between your legs seems kind of difficult, especially when you can't just control it like you would a ship.]

So this isn't a historical movie? I was just about to ask if you were descended from these elves, since you're so pretty. [Kekeke. He does kiss Tsukki's fingers when they pass near his lips, though.]

A living thing between your legs is quite natural, as well. [Is what Kuroo mutters only for Tsukki's hearing, smirking at his own awful innuendo.]

Oh my god, shut up. I don't know who you are.

[walks off in disgust and a chorus of laughter and hoots, leaving him in the floor because he actually has to go to the toilet, but he's not telling him that. when he comes back, he makes a stop in the kitchen for tea, which he's careful to bring back towards his spot with kuroo.]

[captaincatblock]

[Kuroo rearranges their small nest of pillows and blankets so that he and Tsukki can sit side by side, preferably with Kuroo's arm around Tsukki. He may have commandeered a few pillows from other unsuspecting watchers, though.]

Welcome back, love.

[hellacene]

[he makes kuroo hold the cups and saucers while he sets the teapot on the side. he then rejoins him, sits beside him and lets kuroo put his hand around him while the people are engrossed at the sight of gollum and the orcs.]

[captaincatblock]

[He pours for them when he figures out how to do it with one hand.]

I keep on expecting them to break into song.

[hellacene]

[he gives him a small kiss in thanks, cooling his tea in his hands.]

The original books had them singing in a lot of parts .... they cut that out for this one, thankfully. Nobody needs seven people singing simultaneously about their quest.

[he says that after watching a musical ... anyway.] You'd fit with them. You'd never quit until you get things right, though you might be too ruthless for Tolkien.

It sounds like it might be fun. [Kuroo regards the movie for a moment.]

I suppose I could be a ranger. But I'll only agree if you come along as my elven lover. [Unknowing of the ships for this fandom...]

[hellacene]

.... you want me to watch you die. Elves live a lot longer than humans, you know.

[alas. but maybe he'll take the offer of immortality instead of just thinking of his duties all the time.]

[captaincatblock]

[dismissively] We'll think of that when we get there. There will be years of passionate... adventures, first.

[hellacene]

[he rolls his eyes.] Is that what you're calling it now?

[and then - a tilt of the head, because this is one of the things kuroo jokes about from time to time - ] I'll be sad if I had to do that, though, having adventures with you and knowing you'll die one day. You'd be a gross old man and I'll still look the same, since elves don't age either, I think ....

[captaincatblock]

You were the one saying there are children around. [Smiles at him, leaning against Tsukki's shoulder.]

I would be a lucky gross old man to have spent my life with you. But I think we would find a way. I mean, they have wizards, I'd think an extended lifespan isn't too difficult to come by... [he leans down to murmur at Tsukki's ear] As for this life, I'm not leaving you so easily.
